Sometimes you don't have the luxury of scheduling two weeks out. You get a call that the health inspector is coming tomorrow, or the fire marshal shows up and red-tags your hood, or your insurance carrier says they need proof of cleaning before they'll renew your policy. That's when you need emergency service.
Emergency service means we rearrange the schedule and get a crew to you within 24 hours, sometimes same-day depending on where you are and what time you call. We focus on what the inspector is going to look at: the hood interior, the filters, the plenum, accessible ductwork, and the fan. We provide the same documentation — before and after photos, service report, compliance certificate — so you have something to show when the inspector arrives.
“Sometimes you don't have the luxury of scheduling two weeks out — you get a call that the inspector is coming tomorrow, or the fire marshal red-tags your hood.”
The work is the same quality as a scheduled cleaning; we're just doing it on short notice. The rate is higher because we're pulling a crew off another job or working outside normal hours to accommodate your emergency. If your system is heavily soiled and hasn't been cleaned in a year or more, we'll do what we can in the time available, but there's a limit to how much grease we can remove in a few hours. In that case, we'll get you compliant enough to pass the inspection and schedule a follow-up to finish the job properly.
If you're in this situation, call as early in the day as possible. The earlier we know, the more likely we can get to you same-day. Kendall & Nicole handle all emergency scheduling personally — call (903) 571-6744 and let him know what's happening. If it's a red-tag situation, bring a copy of the tag or take a photo of it so we know exactly what the fire marshal is requiring.
We serve customers across central and northeast South Dakota. Travel time for emergency service is the same as scheduled service — included in the rate for most locations within 150-200 miles. If you're farther out, there may be a travel charge, but we'll let you know that up front when you call.
Once the emergency cleaning is done and you've passed the inspection, we'll work with you to get on a regular NFPA 96 schedule so you're not in this situation again. Most red tags happen because the system wasn't cleaned on the right interval, or because it wasn't cleaned properly the last time. We'll assess your operation and recommend a schedule that keeps you compliant going forward.
